About the author
Joanne Carey Haid received her BA degree from Rutgers College in French and Political Science. She studied at the Sorbonne in Paris, France and holds a business certificate for International Commerce from the Paris Chamber of Commerce and is recognized as a lifetime member of Cambridge Who's Who of Successful Women in Business. She received her education in dance at the Mason Gross School of the Arts, and in the masters program for Dance Education at New York University as well as in theatre at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York City and is an ABT® Certified Teacher for Pre-Primary through Level 3. In addition to her career in the dance field, Joanne is an avid writer, which prompted her to put pen to paper and tell her story of healing in The Other of the Barrel in the hope of helping others through their own grief. Those who meet her are moved by her authenticity, compassion and kindness and her profound generosity of heart.
